Weeeelll .....
It's been a bit hectic in the Federici home of late - with the Holidays upon us, a houseful of kids to tend to, dear old Mom down for a visit, a roof to be repaired and a major down-tree clean-up, Sophia still in the hospital - 12 weeks tomorrow ? [I am losing track] - etc. etc., it's been nigh near impossible to work on the site or board.
Our apologies ... nothing new!
BUT, for the folks who've been asking to see a new photo of Sophia, there is one, taken yesterday, up in my Photo Album, so, take a peek.
I'm gonna sit down now & catch up on things here & tend to some business.
Soon, it will be time to take care of Gathering 2003 loose-ends, update the site with some planned new stuff, etc. Regretfully, I must report that our much hoped for reconciliation with certain parties - that appeared somewhat promising back in July - probably ain't ever gonna happen. Just thought I'd bring that up for some year-end closure. As always, the door remains open.
We look forward to moving onward & upward in 2003!
Have a HAPPY NEW YEAR, folks - be safe, be healthy, be wise!

I just took a peek at your little angel. She is absolutely beautiful! What a difference from the previous photos! I don't think you said... how much does she weigh now? When one looks at such a tiny, perfect little creation... it is impossible to understand how anyone could abort one.
As for you... I am amazed that you are even upright at this point... let alone able to sit and peer at a computer screen for any length of time, and type anything that even remotely makes sense. I think we all understand!

Wilderness Woman, she weighs 4lbs 6oz today, but - she's still got ascites (fluid) which accounts for several ounces. Either way, she's on a strong upswing. Just needs to bring up her protein levels & put on some real mass, both achieved by increased milk intake. Time & patience!
As for your last statement; couldn't agree more! The great puzzle to me is had I "decided" to abort my 26 week "pregnancy" it would have been done, no questions asked. Only because it was a "choice" to keep her she is recognized as a child & deemed worthy of incredible efforts & money to save her life & bring her to good health. Amazing paradox. |

The Amazing Paradox goes even farther than that: If a pregnant woman is in a car accident, caused by another other driver, and the woman goes into labor and the baby dies... in some states the person who caused the accident can be prosecuted for manslaughter. Yet the abortionist can kill the baby, (I think, even in the third trimester in some states?), and be within the law, and suffer no consequences.
A terrible, terrible part of our country's history.

Rich, she's gorgeous!! Thanks for the photos. Hard to believe she's so tiny and perfect. My smallest cat outweighs her by 6 pounds! Have a great New Year if I don't talk to you before then. Here's hoping 2003 is a huge improvement over 2002, for both of us!
