Can you believe the 2010 Great Mohican Gathering is less than three months away? I hope it stops snowing by June! :-)
I have some exciting news to share with you all about the Gathering. We have some special guests who will be with us! First, John Evans and his wife Linda will be joining us!! Some long-time Gatherers will remember John and his *amazing* collection of LOTM props. Newer Gatherers... get ready for a special treat because this is truly a wonderful, rare collection of movie props and we are honored and excited to have the Evans with us once again.
Secondly, <drum roll> Ariel, Kyle, and Lori will be with us once again! I can hardly believe it! With us in spirit for several years, and finally with us in person for the first time in 2008, Ariel has become an important part of the Gathering, and part of what gives the Gatherings that special "spirit." If you missed meeting this amazing family in 2008, don't miss this chance as they travel all the way from Canada to be with us. I promise, you will not regret meeting these very special people and spending time with them during the Gathering.
I would like to extend a special thank you to all the volunteers who make the Gatherings possible. For 2010, we have volunteers signed up for tasks such as name tags, Program guide, raffles, Ariel's Auction, and Sharon is working on t-shirts again so hopefully we will hear about those in the near future. The only thing not covered yet is car flags! VOLUNTEER NEEDED FOR CAR FLAGS! If you've been to a Gathering before, you know how essential the car flags are for finding and following other Gatherers from one site to another. So... anyone handy with a sewing machine?
