Every once in a while, something I read or learn about touches me so deeply with emotion that it also fills me with wonder. Yesterday, I received an envelope from my 91-year old father in Portland, Oregon that contained a newspaper article. I knew when I saw the headline and the photo that it was going to be one of those.
What I read was an incredibly moving story about a horse named Hero, and an amazing woman named Kim Meeder. You can read the article my Dad sent here: Hero
When you are finished and have wiped your eyes and blown your nose, take the link on that page to their website and learn more about them and some of the horses on their ranch in central Oregon. On the Home page, there is a link to an update on Hero. Be sure to find the pages about "Remnant" and "Phoenix" and "Little Bear" and read their stories, too. I think most of you will be as moved as I am.
