Under the program, which EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson signed into effect on Tuesday, 10,000 industrial facilities that generate more than 25,000 metric tons of greenhouse gas, and collectively produce 85% of the country's greenhouse gas emissions, must start collecting greenhouse gas data on Jan. 1.

If the implications of this arent as clear as the fingers on your hand, either you need to visit the eye doctor or you dont have fingers. This is, not to use extremist language, akin to the Nazis asking German citizens to identify how many Jews are living in the household. Once the data collection begins, can the fees and fines be far behind?

How much could this cost businesses? And what about a new bureaucracy or expanded EPA to check the findings of the companies... or the lawyers fees to settle disputes about findings?

(P.S. - This isn't going to cost businesses anything, - any new costs/fines gets passed along to us)

Can't get Cap & Trade moving??? - Then do it without Congress & input from the people.

I am still waiting for the scientific evidence which shows that Carbon Dioxide is an enviromental toxin, and that it should be controlled by a central authority. I seem to recall that thirty years ago, it then was Carbon Monoxide (once again, from the evil American automobile) which was the 'global threat', by preventing enough Carbon Dioxide to feed the planet's vegitation (and "yes" class, CO2 is plant food), and that we were heading for global cooling. But just like passing 'through the looking glass', everything is now the exact opposite, and all in the name of junk science and group politics.
It does make me wonder when the so-called scientists on the Left will quit engaging in mental-masturbation (not unlike the rest of the 'intellectual' Left), and actually perform legitimate research...
