Many of you who attended the 2006 will remember Gera Girard, seamstress on the set of LOTM. She shared with us her humorous anecdotes and her photo album to give us a very unique behind-the-scenes view. Gera will be joining us again to share more stories and memories. Any of you who met her will agree that she is a lot of fun to be around and a wonderful speaker.

We also have a new speaker this year! Mike Conley was a reporter at the Morganton News Herald during the filming of LOTM and wrote several articles about the local filming in that area. His name appears in Rich's "On The Trail" book because Rich apparently used these news articles to locate some of the filming sites. Mike will be joining us on Sunday at the cookout to share some of his thoughts and memories about the filming, and he'll have his articles and Press Kit on hand.

And of course, Soldier #2 will be on hand to provide us with his memories and stories which are always informative and entertaining. He knows all the trails, too! :-)

Please join me in welcoming these speakers who will provide us with first-hand knowledge of what it was like when the movie was filmed.
