Fitz, it couldn't happen to a... er... nicer... guy!
I'm just waiting for one of you guys to say that you froze to the seat!

Any chance there is a national campground around there anywhere. Or even a state one. LLOF is rather cheap and would rather pop a tent then rent a hotel room and I love nature (must have electricity plug and working bathroom *no outhouse*)
Also if anyone is interested I would be willing to get a camp site with one or two others. (Not 100% sure of going yet).
Thankies
The first time I went to a Mohican Gathering, I tent-camped at Linville Falls. The lodging was at Bear Den (cabins, etc.), which wasn't too far away. One of the day hikes was at Linville, but everything else was a drive. But, that's true no matter where you stay---all of the Mohican events are a drive.
Linville Falls is a National Park Service area (water, toilets, no electric). If you want more amenities, I'm sure there are a number of commercial campgrounds, too. I guess you just want to pick one that is near where folks are staying, if possible, or else you will have a long drive at the end of a long day!
I haven't yet decided if I'll go the tent or hotel route. |

Hawkeye Joe was on a trek a few years ago with a guy who decided to sleep with his brass barrel blunderbuss. He awakened to find his nose frozen to the barrel. I never did hear how he got it free. |

Well it will be a bit of a drive at night. And I don't even want to think about getting a gun stuck to any part of my body.
Ugh now I can't wait. Though Cedar Point trip this weekend, then a car, and insurance, gas, college, just might get to come for sure. I am sure budgeting. |
There are easier things in life then trying to find a good guy..... Nailing jelly to a tree for example. |
