Had attempted a Gathering Group Mailing of this, but inexplicably, I can no longer, as of last night, send E-mail from my computer!!  Incoming mail is fine, but I cannot send.
Anyway, hope everyone who needs to sees this.
This information will appear in the Program Guide, but since we have such a "staggered" attendance this year - folks coming in on all different days - I thought this might be useful to those of you coming in late.
Sunday, June 20th ... Gathering begins at the Pavilion in the Meadow just beyond the ticket booth about half-way up Chimney Rock Mountain. Remember, start time is 8:30 - Breakfast at 8:45. There, we'll hand out welcome packets and get ourselves oriented. I will have our Biltmore & Joanne Shenandoah tickets there for distribution. Those of you going to Pisgah for the Elk Hunt locations, meet back down there at 2PM!
Monday, June 21st ... Sunrise at 5:45AM at the Greenknob Overlook. Milepost 350 on the Blue Ridge Parkway. If that's too early,  you can meet up with the group at Louise's [junction of Highways 221 & 183, Linville Falls] for breakfast at 7:30. Of course, by then the Sunrise will be over. OR, you can meet us for lunch, after our Table Rock jaunt, at about 2PM.
Tuesday, June 22nd ... Meet at the new Reception Center Parking Lot on Biltmore Estate in Asheville at 8:30AM. This is about a quarter mile inside the grounds [past the entranceway to the Estate!]
Wednesday, June 23rd ... NO LATER THAN 9:30AM!!! Very important. Do not be late! Meet at the USA Raft Outpost in Erwin, Tennessee [due North of Asheville]. Our trip starts at 10.
Those of you pulling in after the Sunday start, do seek out Jo or me for your packets

Can't wait Rich!!! I finally get you meet you and I am looking forward to meeting the group. Theresa and I had so much fun together in Nashville and she showed me pictures of past gatherings. What a fun bunch!
You can definitly count on me NOT to be up for the sunrise on Tuesday as I am a grouchy bear in the mornings. In fact my family bought me a night shirt that reads "I don't do mornings!" LOL But I can hike with the best of em so I hope that makes up for my absense at the crack of dawn. Just don't talk to me until I've had some coffee! ROFL!!! |

Hope the computer gets fixed; and I SURE hope it hasn't caught my computor's cold!
Am looking forward to seeing everyone and meeting ALL of the new faces! For those who do know her, Ayesha sends her best and big hugs for everyone; as does Mary Garland.

I knew when I saw the sunrise event on Tuesday, you'd not make it, Carter. Depends on the weather whether (weather whether?) I go myownself...what say you, Phil? |

Kay and all,
It's been REAL rainy here and the extended forecast is for "scattered showers" every day for the next 10 days. That leaves it wide open for anything from "widely scattered showers" to a full-fledged torrential flood (which hopefully won't happen!) At any rate it would be wise to heed some of Donna's and the others' advice about extra shoes and some rain gear.
At least the waterfalls will be pretty!!! :-)

| Yeah ... the weather has been pretty grim, of late. The Nolichucky & waterfalls ought to be flowing pretty well, though. Forecast I saw looks like the weather might break about Tuesday - highs in the 70s?!? |
