... is almost finished. Donna from Vermont has graciously agreed to make a quick stop on her way down 81 and take along whatever will fit in her car. If any other Gatherers are planning to take 81 south past Carlisle, PA, and could squeeze anything else into their vehicle, I'll be happy to buy you breakfast, lunch, or dinner at the Eat'n Park restaurant just off Exit 52 (Middlesex-New Kingstown) as a token of my gratitude.
Here's what we've got: one framed poster; one very big (about 15 inches in diameter), very heavy basket of Pennsylvania goodies; two stuffed bears in plastic bags; and one heavy cardboard box (about 16 by 13 by 8 inches) containing everything else. (The things for the auction have minimum bids attached; the things for the raffle have yellow stickies that say "Cherie." I managed to squeeze the basket of soaps into the box, too, so I guess everything will smell good.) The things that can't fit in Donna's car will be shipped directly to the Geneva, hopefully arriving early in Gathering week. If those of you who arrive early could look out for Donna's Saab and help her unload, I would be very grateful.
Jayne, I hope you can put a minimum price on the basket, as I have no clue!!! Thanks to Jayne and Cherie for giving me the opportunity to gather all this stuff. It was the most fun shopping that I've ever had!

Oh so true, Theresa! Bookworm, thanks for your very enthusiastic support of Ariel's auction. It's so good of you to send your donations despite the fact that you can't accompany them! We'll miss having the opportunity meeting you - but SOMEDAY!?!
You're a VERY generous person and I know the Boutettes will be most appreciative of your contributions.
Many thanks! Jayne |

One 26-pound box of auction and raffle donations is on its way to the Geneva, "attention: Mohican Gathering." (Pant, pant -- just got back from the UPS store. The cost of shipping was MUCH less than I had expected!) It's scheduled to arrive Saturday. If any of the remaining items don't fit in Donna's car, I'll ship them off Saturday morning, to arrive as soon as possible.
Yesterday I bought a final few cakes of handmade soap for the "items too fragrant to go in the big basket with the food" basket. The woman who makes and sells the soap said, "These aren't going to sit in a hot car, are they?" I said, "Of course not!" and they didn't. But I hope those UPS guys move at their usual rapid pace! Apologies to Cherie and Jayne if there's a gooey mess when you open the box. (Of course, it would save you the trouble of pricing that basket, Jayne -- I had no clue about that one, either.) |

Thank you sooo much, it is sooo sad that you will not be there. It just doesn't seem right. I will let the people at the Geneva know about the delivery when I check in early Sat. Let them know to deliver it to me or Jayne. Thanks again!!!
Will let you know how it all goes when we get back |

Bookworm!
Just can't thank you enough. I agree with Cherie - it DOESN'T seem right that you can't be there.
Cherie will get there before me, so she can have the fun of opening the box!
We'll be thinkin of ya, and will be in touch!
