Well that got your attention
O.K. Folks here it is. This years raffle is going to be the best one ever! We have some great items coming your way. I have already told you about the Limited Edition Print being donated by David Wright .
Now we have another HUGH item. Something that is going to blow your mind
We have a Florida basket coming. What's so great about that you ask? I shall tell you. In this basket is a FREE trip for 2 to Sunny FLORIDA!!!! (minus airfare).
This great gift is being donated by the LOVELY LADY ANN . You will be staying in her lovely home in Winter Park FL (which I shall add is on a lake). Your accommodations will include a bedroom (no she won't make you sleep in a tent!) with private bath, private screened in porch with view of the lake, cable T.V. with premium channels and TIVO. This will also include 2 Multi-Park Passes to Walt Disney World. Use of their canoe on the lake (fishing). A day at the beach,(to included a picnic lunch, beach chairs, umbrellas and towels) If flying in, you will be picked up at the airport, and if you behave!! a trip back to the airport (if you don't behave, you will have to walk!!! And she knows where the GATORS are!!) Also transportation to your day trips and to Disney. Even your meals are included (those you choose to eat at the house.) Now I know Ann is a great Southern Cook!!! She also has several other events for you to choose from, A day visiting a Seminole Indian War Fort, Hikes in the Wilderness areas, an airboat ride.Etc... There are other things that might POP up depending on what time of year you come. This is just a sample of the things you can expect while visiting with Ann. This trip is good for 1 year.
With all of that said, I bow at your feet LADY ANN for your generosity and kindness.

WOW!!! Ann is very generous!!! That is a wonderful prize!!! How much are raffle tickets for these prizes anyway Cherie? I want to make sure that I can buy some. Even as unlucky as I am, I may just win something this year.

Can't get much better than that!!! I'm going to have to start putting some more money aside for the raffle and auction. There are just too many good prizes to not at least TRY to win something, and if I don't win, then I will just be happy to know that I have donated to two good causes.

Wow, Lady Ann! I am joining Cherie at your feet!! I was in Florida once and can't say I was too crazy about where I was, but your trip sounds fantastic and would be a wonderful prize to win for sure.

Well I was working on my Gatherings scrapbook last night and tried to find the right words to describe Lady Ann in her photo caption. Where could we start in describing her? Generous? Completely unselfish? Creative? Driven? Brilliant? Talented? All of that wouldn't fit on the page, so I settled for something like "special." Whoever wins this trip is lucky indeed! Thanks Ann for all you do! Stephanie |

Please, Ladies, Gentlemen, you are too kind! My motives in working for the Gathering are not entirely pure...after all, what better way to ensure another Grand Gathering Experience, spent in such pleasurable company, than to do my part to help make the Gathering happen? As for the Florida vacation, well now that is yet ANOTHER week I can look forward to spending in the company of Gatherers I have come to know and love! When you get down to it, isn't that why all of us who help in the planning and execution of the Gatherings do it? It's the people...the friends...that count. (OK, there is that obsession with men-in-breechclouts thing...but I swear, that's secondary!) |

ummm Lady Ann
If Marc and I win the trip, (hope hope hope) I can tell you, we will use it. Just have one question? Will Marc have to wear his breech clot?...
The funniest story, I can't remember where we were, But Marc was in his "outfit" breech clot and all and we had to stop and get gas in the car, OH MY....Did the looks come his way, a few comments I remember too... But let me tell you, he was posed for a fight, has his throwing hawk and knife in his belt and raring to go... I was in the car laughing so hard I was crying. |

Cherie, That was too funny!!! Of course you couldn't go in and pay for the gas for him. It wouldn't have been as funny if you had. The cashier probably had her finger on the telephone dial for 911 seeing this strange man with a tomahawk and knife coming into the store!!!

HAHA.. The funny thing is, He was paying at the pump. So it was all the people there filling up. And the place was packed. And it wasn't just women making comments. |

That's a GREAT story! You made me laugh out loud. I wish I could have been there to seen the looks on people's faces as he pumped the gas.
I hope there'll be more memorable events like that this year too!

Hey Cherie, isn't it fun being married to a reenactor? I truly think they like getting those "funny" looks. I'm sure Marc gets way more interesting looks that Jim does. After all, Jim is fully clothed in all that wool!
