If photos are your thing, this is a good day for you!

We updated two new sections with more photos, so enjoy! See:

Hair Dressers' Photo Gallery
and
2002 Gatherers' Gallery

The thing that really strikes me about the Willis' gallery ... and, oh God, there are so many more!!!! ... is not just the quality of the photography, or even the fact that they caught so many of the "stars," but the attention to detail in their "photo journal." They caught it all, and did so in methodical fashion. Very impressive, and the reason I rate it the best collection of LOTM shots I've seen.

Thanks to Phil, Theresa, Stephie Smurf, & Rattlesnake Woman for the additional Gathering photos. I imagine it'll just be a couple more weeks before the 2003 Gathering begins to take on a definitive form ...

My laugh of the week came when the Nolichucky River was renamed the "Hellichucky." Very good!

Hope you all saw the "Thank you" sent our way from Ariel's family, the Boutettes. It's posted in the Ariel Forum.

As for progress on the new user's field showing up in posts ... ZIPPO. It's editable in your profiles, but that's it. Can't figure it out! But, we will be re-naming the levels soon ... I'm surprised 4 people, so far, actually thought the present system of names is ok. Oh well ... that's what makes the World go 'round!

Been in touch with Curtis Gaston [Soldier #1] recently ... perhaps we'll go down that road again someday!

Later Gators,

Rich, I have thoroughly enjoyed Scottie's collection you've posted here. The ones the that really struck me as far as detail are the ones of the Huron Village...I mean, the deer hanging in the longhouse, the squash, gourds, pumpkins growing in the garden...and, like you said, there are so many others. I would like to send him a thank you personally. Would that be possible and how do I go about doing that?

You bet, Theresa ...

Some things I had meant to mention, but forgot to:

Here's a photo, from the Gathering, of Scottie Willis [hair dresser & LOTM-set photographer extraordinaire!]:

Also, Tim Cordell is offering prints, suitable for framing, of his Fort William Henry-area artwork, at a very reasonable price. See the Classifieds ... link in upper right corner of this Board. Ah, what the heck:

Mohican Classified Ads

If you post one ever, be careful ... as I found out yesterday, they are a royal pain in the butt to edit! The Classifieds is an add-on, designed privately [not by Snitz Forums], and they failed to include an "edit" feature!!! So, I can do it, but in a very round-about, and difficult, way. So before you enter an ad, please proof-read it very carefully ... the URL & image function works in much the same way as that on the old Mohican Board. If you need assistance, send me an E-mail before you place the ad ...

If you have any preference at all, please vote in the Featured Poll. We'll be moving forward with that very soon!

OK, that does it it for now, I think! <------ and, yes, Jim, that is a "nerd"!

EDITED: Link should work now!

Yeah, that was pretty weird ... the code for that particular "smiley" is this: : plus B - can't put 'em together or a will appear! I noticed in your post the nerdie guy appeared where a capitol B should be. I don't know, I guess something short-circuited, or something ... We'll keep an eye out. Hey at least it didn't make you a or worse, a !!!!
