I voted for DDL. I loved his passion and fire and thought he was perfect for his role. I do think Wes was outstanding also... but going with Hawkeye

I had a tough time deciding between the two but did place my vote to Wes. If he weren't on the list then I would definately have selected Madeline.

If you liked Eric & thought he was the best looking guy in the film in LOTM check him out in 'To Follow The Stars' & 'The Broken Chain'.

IMHO Obi, all the main actors in this movie "deserve" an award. They were all brilliant. I could not imagine anyone else as Uncas or Chingachkook or Hawkeye. Cora and Alice were played to perfection by Jodie and Madeline. Magua "stood" out as the "bad guy" and was the perfect choice for the part but had different actors portrayed the other characters, then this movie, despite Wes's brilliant performance, may not have been the bit "hit" it was.

We could always give Uncas an award for being the "cutest" Indian in the movie..ha

Or rather, Wes Studi. Every time I watch the movie I'm amazed all over again at what a great job he does with the character. I like to imagine him as Magua when I read Cooper's LOTM too.

I had to vote for Wes too. I can't think of any other actor that would have been as convincing as Wes was as Magua. He definitely deserved an award!!!
