Has anyone here seen the website where they made the bodies of the Cameron children that were not used in the movie?

Originally they were going to show a horrible scene with the boy's burned mutilated bodies.....

I've found photos of them but I won't post them witout warning because they are so shocking.

Oh they existed all right, but they were not three feet or more long and carried on a sling over the back.

Real Native Americans or N/A re-enactors? They can't deny that the things existed in several forms through out history....

And, to you, Colonial [Hawkeye] Joe ... welcome back. It's been a while!
Hawkeye_Joe Posted - July 12 2007 : 4:01:28 PM
Chingachgook's weapon was and is called a "Gunstock" war club. Not because it was made from a gunstock but because of it's shape.

Lapus Posted - July 12 2007 : 3:04:42 PM
Uggh!!
Geez those are seriously realistic photos of the bodies! Thanks for the post Hawkeye_Joe, never seen anything like that before.
The worst injury for me would be Magua's elebow wound though. I dislocated my elbow yrs ago and that was painfull and gross enough, can't imagine getting wacked with a war club(not sure what Ching's weapon was called) there...*uggg* makes me feel faint just thinking about it.
Later days,
Lapus

Some of the "older" posters may remember that Christopher Johnson participated on these boards for a while about 3 years ago. (If I can find the thread, I will post the link to it.) Chris is a very talented young man who attended and graduated from the same high school near Binghamton as my two children. Chris is about 8 or so years older than my son, who is a friend of his and worked with him on one of his independent movies.

An update on Chris: as you can see by looking at this website, Chris is very active with his special effects make-up career in Hollywood. We are proud that his career roots began in Binghamton.

Ewwww! Have to agree with ya LLOF!!

Oh, Red, the elbow wound is pretty gross. I will think of that everytime I wack my elbow of something hard and sharp.

I agree....That was quite a cool/gross "sound" altogether.

Thanks, Hawkeye Joe! Interesting pics.

Now I'm curious as to how and why someone would decide to get into the business of sculpting fake dead bodies. Seems like a strange hobby, no?

And maybe I'm weird, but I think the pics of the elbow are more gross than the body. Maybe because it's actually on a living person's arm? Always thought that elbow crack was the most painful-looking blow delivered in the movie. Don't know why, but it makes me shudder every time.

Would not want to see the "real thing". Those were excellent make up jobs but the real deal would be too gross and upsetting for me to see.

How gross/cool - whichever it is?

Awesome job though, looks very real!

Those were excellent make-up jobs. They looked so real. Thanks for posting the links Hawkeye Joe.

My thoughts exactly, Fitz and Light! Maybe it's gross, but I'd like to have a look too. And I don't exactly want to do a Google Image search for "burned children" to find it.
Light of the Moon Posted - July 11 2007 : 12:29:32 PM
Yeah, I'd like to gawk at it too.
Fitzhugh Williams Posted - July 11 2007 : 12:22:39 PM
You say they are on a web site? Can you post the link?
Little Lady of Fire Posted - July 11 2007 : 10:46:45 AM
Yes they are very shocking believe me.

I saw some of them and it is just like *wow* glad i knew they weren't real.
