Posted - July 11 2007 : 10:06:49 AM Has anyone here seen the website where they made the bodies of the Cameron children that were not used in the movie?
Originally they were going to show a horrible scene with the boy's burned mutilated bodies.....
I've found photos of them but I won't post them witout warning because they are so shocking. |

Real Native Americans or N/A re-enactors? They can't deny that the things existed in several forms through out history.... |

Posted - July 12 2007 : 4:01:28 PM Chingachgook's weapon was and is called a "Gunstock" war club. Not because it was made from a gunstock but because of it's shape.

Posted - July 12 2007 : 3:04:42 PM Uggh!! Geez those are seriously realistic photos of the bodies! Thanks for the post Hawkeye_Joe, never seen anything like that before. The worst injury for me would be Magua's elebow wound though. I dislocated my elbow yrs ago and that was painfull and gross enough, can't imagine getting wacked with a war club(not sure what Ching's weapon was called) there...*uggg* makes me feel faint just thinking about it. Later days, Lapus |

Some of the "older" posters may remember that Christopher Johnson participated on these boards for a while about 3 years ago. (If I can find the thread, I will post the link to it.) Chris is a very talented young man who attended and graduated from the same high school near Binghamton as my two children. Chris is about 8 or so years older than my son, who is a friend of his and worked with him on one of his independent movies.
An update on Chris: as you can see by looking at this website, Chris is very active with his special effects make-up career in Hollywood. We are proud that his career roots began in Binghamton. |

Oh, Red, the elbow wound is pretty gross. I will think of that everytime I wack my elbow of something hard and sharp. |

Red. My opinion on the yuckiest is the third swing Hawkeye takes on the NA who was trying to take out Cora in the massacre scene.
Bone and metal meeting is not a pretty sound. *shudders*
I agree....That was quite a cool/gross "sound" altogether. |

Posted - July 11 2007 : 10:19:31 PM Thanks, Hawkeye Joe! Interesting pics.
Now I'm curious as to how and why someone would decide to get into the business of sculpting fake dead bodies. Seems like a strange hobby, no?
And maybe I'm weird, but I think the pics of the elbow are more gross than the body. Maybe because it's actually on a living person's arm? Always thought that elbow crack was the most painful-looking blow delivered in the movie. Don't know why, but it makes me shudder every time. |

Would not want to see the "real thing". Those were excellent make up jobs but the real deal would be too gross and upsetting for me to see. |

Posted - July 11 2007 : 12:56:59 PM My thoughts exactly, Fitz and Light! Maybe it's gross, but I'd like to have a look too. And I don't exactly want to do a Google Image search for "burned children" to find it. |
