Posted - March 19 2006 : 12:01:33 AM Whenever I watch LOTM, I always get a kick out of the smile on this Redcoat’s face just before Magua caves his skull in, and I always have to wonder ... what was going through his mind ( aside from Magua’s tomahawk in a second ) that gave him such a joyful look on his face. Could it be that he was thinking ... “what a wonderful day to be a soldier in the British army” or maybe ... “I can’t believe I landed a part in a Michael Mann movie” or maybe... just maybe, he was thrilled to be seeing a real Indian up close for the very first time. ( Perhaps a little to close in a minute ). Well ... whatever the reason... it just seems a pity that the one soldier that genuinely seemed to be having a good time with his comrades in arms, would soon be meeting his fate by one of the baddest Hurons this side of the Ohio valley.

Like all good Redcoats they are waiting for an officer to tell them what to do. |

Yes paazau, and how could you possibly interpret this look for someone who wants to make friends.
I know this sounds weird but this picture of Magua is rather a turn on for me. I've always thought he wasn't so bad looking but then again I've always liked the hint of danger with the bad boys! |

How about Magua's face is contorted because lets face it, a weapon such as he carrys, so close to his family jewells, and no pockets!!!!!! If I were a male I'd be concerned too.

I think I really felt for Magua, what he must have gone through, no wonder he hated the 'Grey Hair' so much. |

Posted - April 01 2006 : 9:09:41 PM hehehe, no Mt Man?? This is more Magua's style...
ha..ha..ha..ha good one Seamus. You're just full of 'em aren't ya??!!
Hmmm Montcalm's ear, Munro's heart.... Was Magua collecting body parts from others? Does that warrant it's own thread??

Posted - April 01 2006 : 8:42:04 PM Yeah...Montcalm's heart just wasn't in it, though. |

And even if there was, I just can’t picture Magua lying on that big leather couch discussing his troubled childhood and why he hates the Grey Hair so much. At least Montcalm was there to lend a ear. |

Posted - April 01 2006 : 6:40:04 PM Ah, ok Highlander. I'll have a look-see for them. The darkness is going to present a problem I think... I'll post whatever I can find. Mt Man might have better luck enhancing the images. Better software. |

Hey did the Highlanders have their kilts on in the movie?? I didn't notice them.... If there's one thing I like better than Uncas, it's a Highlander in a kilt.
Tell us where they're hidin' and we'll happily pull them out into a picture for ya (and for me)!!!
The Highlanders are holding the torches and escort Cora,Duncan,Alice,Hawkeye,Uncas etc.into Fort William Henry under the cover of darkness while it is under siege.I'm told that there was a small detachment of the 42nd there during the siege(maybe a squad)and that Michael Mann liked Highlanders too.I appreciate whatever you kind find here. |

Good interpretation of Magua's look! Wilderness Woman

Yea, wusses!! I thought Michael Mann wanted to achieve realism in his movie! HAH!
Obviously there weren't any 18th century psychologists around for Magua to consult about his issues Mt Man. No wonder the world is in such a mess. Too many people dealing with their issues instead of just going out and stoving in someone's head with their tomahawk. |

Posted - April 01 2006 : 08:33:20 AM First Magua's village and lodges were burnt, then the English kill his children, then he is taken a slave by the Mohawks, he loses his wife and now he has to deal with these jokers laughing at his wedgie. No wonder the poor guy had major issues!

Posted - April 01 2006 : 04:51:53 AM Right on, WW..............that's probably why ol' Magua stoved in the soldier's skull; he overheard him tell his buddy to check it out.
Emily, it happens.....can't prevent it, IF the clout is worn properly (NOT over underpants, as in a certain photo which has appeared here from time to time!). Ya just pick it and move on..... |

Posted - April 01 2006 : 12:34:05 AM Oh my gosh, Seamus, reading your post, I think I almost fell out of my chair just then... I wonder how they would keep that from happening? Do I want to know...? |

Posted - March 28 2006 : 9:56:13 PM No need for one meggied, with that itty bitty breechclout he's wearin'!
If you're really desperate to see Uncas in a kilt I'll see if I can fit that into my schedule! That would call for some creative 'graphic' designing on the pc...
