Pretend that you had access to a machine that could pluck one person from Michael Manns vision of the Last of the Mohicans story from the past into the present. Given this machine, who would you bring into your world and go on a date with? For sake of this question -language would not be a barrier, the person would actually WANT to go on a date with you and you could go anywhere you wanted- unlimited date budget. Who would you choose, where would you go, what would you do? Keep in mind this person is from the mid eighteenth century, all the horseless carriages, thunderbirds, and speaking boxes(TV, radio, etc..) would be startling to your date. Doc M- be gentle. |

There are so many wonderful threads here!
Okay, this is an easy one. Uncas, hands down. I prefer to be outdoors doing things that I enjoy. I am an animal lover, most of the time prefering them to humans. I live in the middle of a national forest on a lake and could easily adapt to his way of life over mine. I'd teach him anything he expressed an interest in, after all he does speak my language. Or he wouldn't have to say a word - ever. I'd understand. |

I would take Alexandra Cameron in a heartbeat! Seeeeexy! ...Yep! She’s the one for me alright. I also think she would be more down to earth as opposed to Alice & Cora, who would just be to much high maintenance.

I would love to say what I would do on my date if I could have Uncas, but I dont think that it is rated PG. It definitaly is past that point. the man is just heaven like. |

Oh my God Uncas Uncas Uncas. What more can I say. I would love for him to take me deep into the woods and have his wicked way with me. I would certainly not put up a fight. I would love to gaze into those gorgeous eyes of his and find a nice spot to sleep under the stars and the moon with him although there would not be much sleeping done. We would have a fire to cuddle by if we got cold in the night but we would have each others body heat to keep warm. We could braid each others hair and massage each others body all over. I looked at this poll and was amazed that I hadn't yet voted on it. I skimmed through the posts and didn't see me. Maybe I swept right by a previous post.
Anyway, given the groundrules, and in addition if I were single, I would choose Alexandra Cameron. I wouldn't immediately take her to the present, but rather to 1992 where she and I could watch LOTM in the theatre. She would be SO grateful to me for saving her from the massacre at the Cameron cabin.
If there are any Duncan fans out there who are disappointed by not being able bring him to the present and save him, there exists an Indians Captive Dance collector card that more or less represents his situation of being set up to be burned. (I do not own and am not selling the card) |

I gotta admit, though, I don't see Duncan as so unappealing. Yes, he was a complete jerk in parts of the movie. But at first, he seems really gentlemanly and sexy... I also like his hair. And there's something about that scarlet coat and boots... mhuaahhhh..
However I don't feel strongly enough about it to vote. :D I'm just surprised... c'mon, Duncan's sort of a cutie isn't he? |

First and most importantly, If I zapped him with the machine and pulled his sexy, loin-clothed behind back to my place, he wouldn't get killed!
Second: How can you resist those eyes! I STILL get chills when he gives Alice that look as they're climbing the waterfall/hill on the way to Fort William Henry. I just have a thing for eyes!
What would we do? Well, Uncas strikes me as someone who enjoys the outdoors. I'd probably take him hiking in the woods or maybe water-skiing (I LOVE waterskiing), We'd find a nice quite place and discuss the ways of the world...or something else "more deeply stirring to my blood" hehehehehe.
In all seriousness, I'd probably just want to talk him, he seems like someone you could have a deep, phylosophical (sp) conversation with. Although jumping his bones might be fun too |

Greetings all, stop in because I saw the lite on as to a current date of postings. I didn't vote because I tried to select Tree and it wouldn't let me. So I will continue dating who I am with now. and no she isn't standing over my should. But if I had cast a vote it would have been for Cora. |

Yes Carter, I do agree with you 100%. I would rather put up with Hawkeye's sarcasm rather than picking up dead bodies with Magua. Don't take me wrong, Wes is a good looking guy. Unfortunately, he doesn't present himself as the romantic type. I can't help myself, when I saw Hawkeye kiss Cora, all I could see was those lips kissing mine.  The guy looks like he is an awesome kisser, and who wouldn't like that right. I wish MM had more kissing scenes in the movie, including any with Uncas.  |

Hawkeye's gotta have my vote. We'd have a nice and quiet little date. No specific schedule. Maybe just talking about a little bit of everything over a picnic. Mmmm mmmm, that is one good lookin' man..... |
