Posted - March 22 2004 : 10:05:39 PM OK, Good! Then I'm not a complete bobble-head! I thought I had it right in my mind.
The updated website looks really good! I like it better than the previous design. Just to let you know, on the Native Friends page, there are a couple of photos that didn't load: "Trouble Brewing" and "Waiting for Canoes."
I enjoy your sense of humor in your descriptions of your men and distaff. Very nice job! |

Posted - March 22 2004 : 8:16:34 PM The newspaper article is wrong, WW.......Col. Armstrong was the Commanding Officer of the 2nd Battalion Pennsylvania at the time of the Kittanning raid.
In my real life, I am, indeed the CO of the 3rd Battalion Pennsylvania, The Augusta Regiment, Burd's Company, and I do use my own name there.
If anyone is interested in it, I have just uploaded our 'Revised, Redesigned and Updated Version' of our unit website. You may access it at:
www.homestead.com/augustaregt
Hopefully, all the links work and everything loads for you. It has been a MASSIVE job rebuilding and getting it ready for publication. Please let me know if anyone finds bad or broken links, and I will fix them OK? Thanks! There are a few little 'tweaks' to do yet, like adding a counter and the Guest Book, but basically it is ready to go.

Posted - March 22 2004 : 7:47:25 PM Nice little article, Seamus!
But I'm a little confused about something: the article stated that as Col. Armstrong, you lead the 3rd Pennsylvania (the Augusta)Regiment. I was under the impression that you are Capt. Slease when leading the Augusta men. Was that their error, or am I the one who needs straightening out?
Well, no matter who you are...... congratulations on receiving permission to invade Kittanning! |

Posted - March 22 2004 : 5:27:36 PM Thanks for the offer, Mike. I have a militia outfit I could wear if I would participate at the event. I do a Brit every once in a while, usually at Bushy Run. You can see my militia outfit in the new DVD version of "When the Forest Ran Red." I'm in some of the new extended footage, most notably in the scene where Washington is leading his party to LeBoeuf, accompanied with some horses. I guess I'm probably Christopher Gist in the scene.
