Posted - September 30 2002 : 11:03:18 PM In the October issue of "Cowboys and Indians" there is an article about one of our favorite "Mohicans". I haven't had time to read it in its entirety but from what I've read so far, Mr. Means is quite a colorful guy. There are some unique looking photos along with it. I don't have a scanner but I would be happy to type the article if anyone is interested. BTW, it's the issue with Michael Keaton on the front, who looks mighty fine in that cowboy git-up hisownself.

So no one should think they were above that sort of thing. The fact is that was a different time, and place, and a different culture. You can't judge 18th century people by 20th century standards, NA or otherwise. I think that you have to keep this in mind when reading about the atrocities of those times, and I also think that no one was innocent.

You're being too kind, Bea. For a man of such articulate wisdom, obvious intelligence, and [sometimes] personable nature, he sure does blow it when it comes to certain topics. He just can't seem accept the truth! It's like the nutcracker thing ... oh, never mind!

I believe old Russ had better do a little more reading before he does a little more talking. But he did say burned. Maybe he makes a distinction between "burned" and "slow roasted". I doubt that the victims did.
