Posted - July 10 2005 : 10:44:01 PM I think it's one of the best books on the F&I War, one of the true essentials. Brian describes, in his usual readable and informative fashion, how the siege was truly a European style encounter adapted to the American wilderness. His frequent use of Vauban's Treatise is extremely valuable. Brian has written many good books, but I think "Siege" may be his best.
