Haven't read it, but knowing Brian from his days at Ft. Niagara and having heard him speak on the subject MANY times, I would say it has to be a very good book.

Life's journey is not to
arrive at the grave safely
in a well preserved body,
but rather to skid in sideways,
totally worn out, shouting
'...holy sh*t ...what a ride!'

I think it's one of the best books on the F&I War, one of the true essentials. Brian describes, in his usual readable and informative fashion, how the siege was truly a European style encounter adapted to the American wilderness. His frequent use of Vauban's Treatise is extremely valuable. Brian has written many good books, but I think "Siege" may be his best.
