Day Four of the 2002 Great Mohican Gathering
... Linville Gorge, The Raffles ...LINVILLE GORGE
The GREENKNOB Not much in the way of a sunrise, but a peaceful prelude to the final day, nonetheless. About 15 hardy beings showed up to continue the torture cleverly disguised as a Mohican Gathering!
LOUISE'S ROCK HOUSE RESTAURANT A Gathering without Louise's? Twice? Would be no Gathering at all! The previous day, left pretty much all alone at the Geneva, was Ariel Segal. A package arrived from California, and since he was the only one they could find, the staff awarded it to him. We opened it up at Louise's. 'Twas from Jo ... included original First Gathering Program Guides, assorted goodies, and this flag! Hey, if you think I looked ragged, you should have felt how I was feeling! Thanks, Jo ... all items thoroughly enjoyed!

Gathered in the dark, till late at night, the feeling was cemented in me that this was again a GREAT Mohican Gathering .. we laughed, & talked, & said good-bye it seems a hundred times ... finally, it was time to go. Till next year ... FINAL ARIEL'S AUCTION

A FINAL WORD It's always hard to put these Gatherings into words. This one is no different. I'm afraid, that I have, as usual, failed miserably in the attempt. Hopefully, reading the snippets here, perhaps reading the very entertaining threads on our Mohican Board, and certainly via the photos, you are able to gain an inkling of insight into what it is we experienced. And for those of you who were there, maybe you were able to re-live the advent'cha just a bit - sans pain! This Gathering was, for me, very special. It proved several things to me, not the least of which was that the magic was still there ... that it could be captured again. The Gatherings transcend any individuals. They are a combined culmination of factors & personalities, with a measure of fairy dust thrown in. Thank you, guys & gals, for another memorable experience. Now, my greatest hope & wish, is that the Gatherings can become "whole" again. The door is always open ... WOO-HOO, PAX AYE, and ALL that stuff! Love you all, Rich/Mohican Press
