Result -

Sioux wiped out 5 companies of calvary, defeated a national hero, and embarassed the army.

USA gained in that the nation galvanized together to resolve Sioux problem and restrict them to reservations. The army, filled with resolve after the LBH, engaged in a relentless pursuit that caused the Sioux bands to scatter, lose power, have less time to hunt, etc.

For better or worse, depending on your perspective, the Battle of the Little Big Horn was the beginning of the end of the free Plains Sioux culture.
