There is no arguing that the recent archaeological information has greatly enhanced our understanding of the events at Little Bighorn. That said, ANY descriptive narrative of the final phases of the battle is based upon a certain amount of speculation.
I would suggest that you read, in depth, the Indian recollections of the event. To the contrary, in fact, ALL warrior bodies were recovered. You might find out where those numbers come from ...
