If Custer was gay, he did the best job in history of covering it up. One of the finest historians (deceased) and most prolific in Custeriana was gay and if anyone could/would have found that out about GAC, he would have.

And "Don" bases this all on SECONDARY information? This means PUBLISHED information. In 40 years I've never read it.

And I sure wish Don would detail Custer's "cruelty" against Indians.

Attack a village nearly mindlessly because GAC thought his "daughter" was there -- and risk losing her in the chaos?
