Custer was an aggressive cavalry commander even before Little Big Horn. He commanded the cavalry that beat Stuarts cavalry at Gettysburg. He served under Hancock in the Peninsula, and he gaurded supply trains bringing in Confederate rations to Appomattox when Lee surrendered there. Of course he my have dressed funny and all but he did that so his officers could point him out in all of the confusion during a battle. Custer didn't attack the Indians at Little Big Horn because he wanted to get it on with the Native Americans. He attacked them because they had been ignoring the presidents order of peace and also they had broke a treaty deal. Custer was aggressive like any other good commander was. If your calling Custer gay because he attacked the Native aMERICANS THEN YOU MUST BE CALLING gEORGE wASHINGTON GAY BECAUSE HE WHIPPED THE BRITISH AND GEORGE MEADE GAY BECAUSE HE SLAUGHTERED THE CONFEDERATES AT GETTYSBURG OR CALLING GRANT GAY BECAUSE HE ACCEPTED LEES SURRENDER. yOU COULD CALL ANY GENERAL GAY BUT THAT DONT MEAN THEY ARE. Did you ride with Custer when his cavalry was slaughtered. You speak as if you knew Custer personally. There has always been homosexuality in the army because it has been writen in books and such. But that still doesnt prove that George Armstrong Custer was gay. He was a dring cavalry officer who dared to take chances until one day he tried too hard.
