: : : Greetings Sheriff Twigg, (nod) She, (nod) Dweebie, (nod).  Quite a gathering of folks you've got here on Miss Marcia's veranda.  Can't be a party, what with everybody carrying muskets and pitchforks and such.  I hope I'm not intruding - just out for a little afternoon walk with some of the bees, and thought I'd stop by to see if Miss Marcia would like some new honey.  Don't see Miss Marcia with you - everything all right in this part of the woods?

: : Afternoon, Bee Holder.  To be sure, we don't know if everything's all right or not.  We came out here to investigate a possible Indian raid from Simon Girty and his Shawnees, and now Miss Marcia's got herself barricaded up there in the house with Hector, and there's not a living sound coming out of the place.  I been trying to look through this thin gap under the front door to see if I could see any sign of movement inside, but it's too dark to see anything through that small a crack, and we don't know if she's fainted or been captured or what.  Was just about to have the Boy Scouts break down the door, when you showed up.  I must say, I'm at my wits' end with worrying about what's happened to her!

: Why, Sheriff, there's no need to go breaking down Miss Marcia's door, particularly as I see her screen door's all torn apart and laying over here in the flower border.  Shame, shame, to treat the lovely flowers, so - I see Gore Bee and his own mighty swarm are already getting ready to lift it off, so those delicate flowers can lift their tiny faces to the sun and make more pollen for the harvesting.  Good work, Gore Bee - gentle now, gentle, don't break any of those new Spring buds.

: As I was saying, Sheriff, there's no need to break down the door.  Bee Flat has come along with the swarm this afternoon, and he could slip through that crack just as smooth as honey and see what is to be found in the house.  Why not slide him in and then decide what to do when we hear what he has to buzz to us?
