Interesting review. Obvious that the gent didn't recall the THX or theatre version very well, otherwise he'd have mentioned the numerous "take-backs". But then, he's probably an ordinary film reviewer who saw the original once, and not many dozens of times like us!

The screen captures are incredibly clear and beatiful! So it looks like the DVD is worth having just for the audio-visual gain.

The reviewer really noticed the "jumpy", "swimming" or "ghostly" quality of some of the new edits. I would think that would be a major detraction.

Ah well....
I think Byron's idea was a good one...make an appeal for the release of the original theatrical cut too!

Can't wait for you and Elaine to receive the disc and submit your review, Rich!
