Please don't fret Claudia, once you own a DVD you'll never want to go back to VHS movies again! No more fuzzy lines or parts that skip. The DVD players offer a zoom feature that will give you extreme close-ups (did anyone mention lacrosse and loincloths?!) Many stores sell quality players for under $300 dollars. I have heard rumors, but nothing officially in print, that says the industry will discontinue producing VHS movies and will sell everything on DVD within the next 3 to 5 years. Of course, until you can record a DVD, VHS tapes will still be around for many many years to come. Just consider all of this an early holiday present to yourself!

Hi Christie,
Will we be able to record from VHS to DVD if we want to archive all of our VHS movies and tapes? I have some very precious VHS tapes. I sure do hope that there will be a way to save all of our memorabilia.
