And let's not forget one of my favorites, "Eversmile, New Jersey" where we see a more comic side of Dan's acting brilliance,and a very strangely funny film; also another comic role he had, was in "Stars and Bars", which was shot right after "Eversmile" and in the same year. He seemed to be very busy that year, doing both those films immediately after the very intense role he had in "My Left Foot". Doing so much in such a relatively short span of time probably led to his "burnout" and emotional breakdown while on stage in London, as "Hamlet".

Probably a good thing that he is taking a break from films so he can fully be there for his most important "role" these days, that of being a Daddy.
