: Hi, Jessica! In my opinion, you can't go wrong with any DDL film. He is such a brilliant actor and gives his all in every performance. I love The Crucible and I liked The Boxer, too, though I still don't understand that haircut! ;o)
: Definitely rent In The Name of the Father. It's a very powerful movie and a true story, at that. Great soundtrack, too. I also love Age of Innocence (though there are some here who don't) and My Left Foot. He doesn't show up until the 2nd half of the film, but if you like period movies, Room With A View is wonderful. Good performances by everyone, with DDL absolutely great as the namby-pamby Cecil Vyse. A MUST see, in my estimation. It was one of the first ones I bought, as I love the entire film, especially the wonderful Maggie Smith.
: And if you like Mel Gibson & Anthony Hopkins, try The Bounty. DDL's part isn't huge, but it's a very nice turn, and when he's not on camera, there's always MEL in his prime. Plus it offers a very young and unknown Liam Neeson as one of the sailors. It may not be the best version of this story, but it's great eye candy!

I'm surprised, Jessica, that Marcia didn't mention two other gems: "My Favorite Launderette" and "The Unbearable Lightness of Being"....not for everyone but I thought they were great!
