Commanding His Kings Forces
Fort Detroit

Sir ---

I regret to inform you that your Agent for the Indian Department, Simon Girty, was wounded in battle and has been taken to a distant Shawnee village for recuperation.

His being wounded has greatly angered the Shawnee, the Seneca, and the Wyandot, who have risen en masse to respond to this crisis.

I would also wish to request British regulars to be sent post haste from Fort Detroit and Fort Pitt.
