My Brother,

You ask too much and give too little - it is the way of the White Man. We would share in the buried treasure, since we are in need of powder and other supplies for our tribe. But we cannot return to the tribe without the trophies of the warpath. Would you make women of us like those skulking Delawares? No. We will help you recover your treasure, but we must take the scalps of The Redheaded One and the Old Crone to hang on the poles of our wigwams so our young women will smile on us and welcome us back to the camp.
