Hi Ilse,

Your advice is much appreciated!!! I did cut the stems, even put a penny in the water( they told me to do that)and removed some of the leaves...Hmm...maybe I didn't remove enough leaves...or maybe the tulips got scared by our sinking Canadian dollar ???:))
