: : Having been surrounded of late by many longrifles and other implements of death and destruction, owned by people who know how to use them, I've not had to rely on roadkill for my recipes.  However, I'm quite certain that if one happened upon such a thing right soon after the fatal event, one would have no trouble collecting some edible bits.  The trick would be to salvage enough of the "shell" in which to cook the chili, as this seems to add an exciting element, both to the presentation of the dish and the flavor of same. I say, give it a try...what have you got to lose, besides your dinner?

: Snow angels????? Mud pies???? give me some of Marcia's good old "road kill" chili......I'll remember you all when I'm frozen and socked in; waiting for my morning cup of coffee....Champ, do they have coffee at the reinactments??? Or just the hard tack...a hard sell at my snow camping to say the least....
