I have been known to suffer the same affliction: ranting and raving and saying things out loud, or to another person, while I am trying to figure out what is going on, or why a thing happened, or how I feel about something REALLY. It can certainly backfire, or come back to haunt you.
Speaking for myself, I am sorry if rancor is still out there and hurts remain. Perhaps one can "never go back" sometimes, but it does nobody good to let things fester and continue to haunt oneself. I've made mistakes, you've made mistakes, everybody has. I've jumped to conclusions, as has yourself and everybody else at one time or another. We all have our individual foibles. In general though, I believed that the MP group in their hearts were all good people and well-intentioned.
At any rate, you overcame, drove on, and have made peace with yourself. As have I. And my prayers would be that all could do the same. But, each must speak for themselves and decide for themselves.
At any rate, it surely sounds like it will be a good event you have scheduled and I sincerely wish you luck and that you all enjoy yourselves at what appears to be another Gathering success.
