Hi Rich,
Your note and Nancy's follow-up about the board refining itself got me to thinking. I read the board at least twice a day when I'm home, and sometimes 3 times. I post occasionally. I guess I feel that the Mohicanland group is like family. (You have to understand, I'm from a huge family: my husband is one of 12, and I am one of 7, if you count step-sibs.) I'm always interested in hearing what everyone has to say, and I put in my 2 cents when I have something to contribute. However, I'm totally comfortable with the silence. Like you, if I want to hear from someone, I'll ask. Maybe what has happened is that we have all gotten to know each other well enough that we are comfortable talking, or listening, or just enjoying the companionship in silence.
With 9 little ones (and bigger ones!) running around the house, perhaps you have forgotten how comfortable silence can be. When you get to be old like me, you'll appreciate it more!
