Would have to agree with you, Rae. I have both of these books in my home and am anxiously awaiting the next, Hidden Wolf. There is a strong campaign for her to do a "prequel" which would take up where LOTM left off and take us to where Into the Wilderness begins. Can you imagine the "Hawkeye/Cora" story Sara could give us?
