The first time I saw LOTM and Nathaniel put poor Duncan out of his misery, I thought for sure that a bunch of warriors would've given chase. It seems to me that they would have been furious that Nathaniel deprived them of the "pleasure" of watching the British officer fry. From what I've read, for some tribes, the more their victims screamed during torture, the more the tribe enjoyed tormenting their enemy. Other tribes greatly respected the man who faced his death without crying or carrying on. A la Magua, when he knows he's toast and he stands to face Ching. and his own death.
