As the movie progresses, and they (DDL and Russel Means) are killing the indians between them and Magua, one of the indian's looks very familiar. If you look closely enough it appears to be the indian that was watching Cora and Nathaniel as they left the village. I have asked other people, I know about this, and they are of the same opinion as I am. That this is the same indian. Interesting how he could get up the mountaing before Ching and Hawkeye did, maybe his indian name is Flys Up Mountains?

Georgia: My husband calls that the fastest Indian in the east. You left out the blue cap/megaphone in the massacre scene and the elk "herder" in the opening scene. Then there's the now it's gone, now it's back musket as they chase up Chimney Rock, and the already broken rhododendrons leaving a trail as they track Magua et al.
