OMG I think you're right about that Indian, Flies Up Mountains! Amazing! I posted a query the other day about why he looks back at Cora for so long, and I don't think anyone knew why. My guess is that he is an "important" extra....someonebody's relative or something who got a few seconds extra screen time!
Anyway, welcome aboard!

: : Hi, I just found this list, after a very long search for LOTM sites. I was just wondering if anyone noticed these two interesting things in the movie. So, I start with the first attention grabber.
: : 1) Toward the end of the movie, as DDL runs and screams out Uncas's name, if you look really closely (you pretty much have to pause the movie to see it, but I was able to notice it without pausing it. Then I had to go back and slow mo it to make sure I hadn't been seeing things.) the rock that DDL passes moves as he hits it. Upon further investigation it's just a blanket tossed over that looks like a rock.
: : 2) In the indian (Huron) village, after Duncan is traded for Cora and DDL and Madeline Stowe are walking away. They turn to look back and one of the indian's is watching them. As the movie progresses, and they (DDL and Russel Means) are killing the indians between them and Magua, one of the indian's looks very familiar. If you look closely enough it appears to be the indian that was watching Cora and Nathaniel as they left the village. I have asked other people, I know about this, and they are of the same opinion as I am. That this is the same indian. Interesting how he could get up the mountaing before Ching and Hawkeye did, maybe his indian name is Flys Up Mountains?

: Georgia: My husband calls that the fastest Indian in the east. You left out the blue cap/megaphone in the massacre scene and the elk "herder" in the opening scene. Then there's the now it's gone, now it's back musket as they chase up Chimney Rock, and the already broken rhododendrons leaving a trail as they track Magua et al.
: Welcome aboard. You'll find a lot of info about all aspects of the movie here, including the bloopers. Surf the sight if you haven't had a chance to yet. You'll be amazed. NightSky
