I would love it if Michael Mann released a director's version of the film. A great example is "Dances With Wolves" because by adding in the extra scenes it explained the actions of characters later on. One scene in LOTM that I always questioned is when the group arrives just outside the fort at night. Uncas turns around and sees Mohawk (I think) coming up behind them. Next thing we know the group is in a canoe with Nathaniel in the water leading them to the fort's side door. What happened in between? Although the script that's posted on this site has several different variations such as the ending, I would still like to see more of the movie that ended up on the cutting room floor. However, I have a feeling we would have a snowball's chance of anything more happening with this film, but there's always hope!
