Hi, All...I am in total agreement about a re-release being a great idea, or at least a director's cut.

One small thingie, though...our intrepid heroes weren't being followed to the fort by Mohawks OR Huron...it was the Ottawa, remember? The same ones who burned the Cameron's cabin & stalked them in the glade scene, but wouldn't approach closely, due to them being on a burial ground. Presumably, they followed them from the glade to the fort. (To backtrack a wee bit, at Cameron's cabin, Chingachgook points to the footprint in the dust & says "Ottawa...deux Francais!" And sure enough, in the glade scene, there are 2 Frenchmen with the Ottawa.) If you look closely as Uncas glances over his shoulder to see their followers approaching, you can see the more unusual looking hairstyle worn by the Ottawa. With the front half of their heads shaved smooth, and long, straight hair falling down their backs, I thought they looked particularly menacing...almost ghostly.
