Here's my feeling, and my reasoning: Everyone will be arriving at different times on Friday. Don't forget, a lot of the people coming are not staying at the bunkhouse. Some are even camping, and possibly not really close to the bunkhouse, though this doesn't mean that they CAN'T come to something on Friday...just that it might not be as easy. I've been to a lot of conventions, etc, and usually the first night is kept pretty unscheduled for that reason, and because people who have traveled long distances are sometimes pretty tired out. (Myrrh and I will have driven 12 hours to get there by 6 or 7.) That's why I was thinking a laid back, meet & greet sort of thing would be best for Friday.

On the other hand, every single convention or meeting of this type I've been to has had a big "farewell" thing of some sort the last night. If the folks that Susan wants to invite can't make it, then I guess Sunday wouldn't work...but if they can, it seems to me it would be a perfect thing to hold around the campfire to celebrate what a great weekend we've had and to say goodbye on a festive note. Most of the people I've heard from are staying through till Monday morning, so I think we would have a bigger group available for this on Sunday, too. (And if we schedule it for a reasonable hour on Sunday, no one would have to be out TOO late, unless they have to drive a long way home.) Those are my thoughts, such as they are...;o)
