No one has yet mentioned one of my favorite groups of Hawkeye moments:
the entire River Walk scene.
Beautifully shot, great dialogue.
Especially the climactic "I ain't your scout; and I sure ain't no damn
militia. Clear it up any?"
But, what a gem this is:
"There is a war on - how is it YOU are heading WEST?!"
"Well, you face North and real subtle-like, turn left."
*tee-hee!* Is that great or what?
Would everyone agree that's the only "humorous" moment in the film?
(And by the way, does he say "subtle" or "sudden"? My son and I have an ongoing debate...)
