Another little bit of minutia that I'd like to get theories on:
During the waterfall scene, when Magua first comes up
to Cora, he picks up a lock of her hair, examines it, and
then drops it with disdain ... and nobody does disdain like
our Wes! Is he just checking out the merchandise, or is
he thinking, "Ewww, Honey! Split ends!" or what?

Count me in on wishing Michael Mann had left in Hawkeye
cutting off a lock of Cora's hair -- that would have been a
great moment!
