I just happened upon the March 2002 issue of Gourmet mag., and right near the front in a NC advertisement was a mention of LOTM. It said,"...NC featured in over 600 movies since the '80's including Last of the Mohicans and the upcoming Divine Secrets of the Ya Ya Sisterhood". The only two mentioned! I saw the Ya Ya's the other day...LOVED IT, but I'm a sucker for spunky old ladies. I had read the book also, but had NO IDEA the movie was filmed there. Anybody know more about that?

Oh another caption in the ad said..."Memo: Worry called. Wondered where you've been". Those of you Gatherers coming to Western NC for the first time will know EXACTLY what that means in a few days, the rest of us already do!
