Our ex-governor & Bush 1's Chief Of Staff John Sununu was on a local station (and I think Fox News too-maybe) today reviewing the "debate". - He's a smart guy and gave some candid opinions - but nothing outstanding, even said things don't really start until after Labor Day - this was kind of "pre-season stuff" - ok so far. ... Then in his closing remark - he made a POINT that this is ONLY A RUMOR he's heard - but ... . The Dems have put Trump up to this, running for President - "to cause some serious internal havoc among the Republicans." - That Trump has contributed to Hillary's campaign in the past - which is true, her N.Y. Senate campaign. ... Truth is he's contribute a pretty fair amount of cash to both parties in the past. ... He's not a dyed in the wool Republican historically. . Frankly I think Sununu is spreading this as a member of the establishment and finding a way to knock some wind out of Trumps sails before he gets to much traction - but, on the other hand, who knows??? - Might be true - he's a Dem plant.

Have heard rumblings about this. Like you said, "Who knows?" Possible, I would say. Improbable, maybe, but we'll see how this all plays out. At this point, the only way I would vote for Trump is if he wins the R nomination. Until that time, though there are qualities about him that I like, I have a hard time taking him seriously for president. |

"there are qualities about him that I like, I have a hard time taking him seriously for president." . Exactly - I REALLY enjoy the way he speaks his mind, the hell with political correctness. - Todays younger folks have no idea what "saying what's on your mind" is all about - they've been brain washed by the PC crowd. - While I don't see him as the next Prez - he is a "breath of fresh air" in a country/world drowning in PC ... |

While I may not agree with Mr. Trump 100% (then again, the only person I do agree with 100% is myself), I do like a lot of what he has said so far. I also admire his previous accomplishments (does anyone here remember what it was like for someone to have those?), and he has certainly done far more in life than the current occupant of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
Compared to Trump, Obama's (and by extension, Hillary Clinton's) accomplishments pale in comparison. With the current president, you have a man whose claim to fame is as a so-called Constitutional 'Scholar' with a questionable academic background, and a Community 'Organizer' (Read: Marxist operative, with no real purpose other than to generate outrage over imagined 'injury'), with a history of part-time attendance in both senate seats (state and federal). Yet this marginal human being was swept into the nation's house, carried by a legion of Marxists, Leeches and Low-Information Voters.
With Obama's 'heir apparent', Hillary Clinton, you have a woman who is too much 'Hillary' and not enough 'Clinton'. In other words, not only does she have no accomplishments to point to, save suckling at the public teat, but she is not a likable person. Her husband was (and still is) a cheat and scoundrel, but at least he knew how to get people to like him. The 'Iron Butterfly' (Hillary) lacks even the most basic interpersonal communications skills (which is probably why she never did make a real name for herself in legal circles), and always manages to come-off as high-handed and uncouth.
Yep, the ancient Chinese used to have a curse that stated, "May you live in interesting times"...
...It is going to be an interesting road to 2016 indeed

We have a guy in the White House who never even ran a damn hot dog stand - and ends up as Prez, we deserve what we get. |

We have the same situation here on a local level. Politicians who no one seems to like, yet they somehow manage to get into office and are even mentioned as presidential material. Lindsey Graham is one. I think the only reason he was elected is because he is Republican and did not have any competition. No one I know likes him and everyone said he needed to go, but last year he was reelected. And he is just the tip of the iceberg. There are many others. The fix needs to start here. |
