Duluth, Minnesota, sits at the extreme western tip of Gitche Gumee ( Lake Superior ), and is still a very busy port; I watched several very large lake-and-ocean-going vessels pass beneath the famous "Arial" drawbridge. Our "wigwam" was a beautiful and new lodge right in the middle of downtown and right on the shore, allowing me to get these dawn images:

I wasn't expecting a lake to have a "seashore", but I guess I should've known better, especially when it's Lake Superior! ( Note Duluth spread along the far shore in the second photo. ) These photos were taken along the northern shore of Minnesota Island, an approximately three-mile-long, narrow natural breakwater that shields and forms part of the harbor of Duluth's neighbor, Superior, Wisconsin.
