...as seen in the Casting List.

I'll try to bring this to an end with this final post transcribing the Casting List of May, 30, 1991. I thought this 3-page record of the background people used in the Cameron's Cabin scene was interesting for its very specific nature. ( This is NOT for the scenes involving Hawkeye, Uncas, Chingy and the Cameron Family, dead OR alive, but rather Cap't. Jack's Militia Muster where the unnamed British officer "enlists" their services for the upcoming campaign. ) Like the lists of the various tribal groups, many of these had also obviously been recruited from far afield, in addition to North Carolina locals. ( However, the Colonial Militia were ALL North Carolinians, so I omitted the redundant "NC" from that listing. ) This was obviously intended as an important scene, not just for the principals, but also included to show the diversity of the frontier population, in addition to the improbably idyllic way they all got along with each other. The stereotypical "Calm Before the Storm", so to speak!

I'll also mention that this scene was, despite the presence of a handful of British soldiers, filmed apparantly totally without the participation of members of the Military Core Group. I believe the "soldiers" seen are merely a few extras costumed in uniform and placed around for effect. The members of the Colonial Militia caused a bit of resentment among our military group since many of them looked more like they would've been more at home on the set of one of the recent Pirates of the Carribean movies instead of Ft. William Henry! ( This is akin to how the "COURIER DEBOIS" have been referred to as the "Farby Frenchmen"! ) Note also how an asterisk ( * ) again indicates To be confirmed, so that the numbers don't add up.
