One of my ambitions is to write professionally. That has now occurred!
It is my belief that President Obama resembles Wilson--more than O. resembles FDR. I see the matter in terms of personality style. FDR was able to raise people's spirits, and "Happy Days are Hera Again" had resonance from his administration. Professorial Presidents Wilson and Obama don't resonate (in my opinion)very well with the public. I think that will hinder Democrats in the 2010 election.

Ideologically speaking, you can add Joeseph Stalin, Mao Tse-Tung, Pol Pot, Adolf Hitler and Fidel Castro to the 'compare' list as well...

Yes it did. Does anyone here remember Howard 'The Scream' Dean's often repeated rhetoric of a "Blue wave crossing the country"? Well it looks like Howard's 'Blue Wave' was broken by the 'Crimson Tide' last November.
