I just wanted to wish everyone in Mohicanland a Happy 4th of July!

I'm going to Pittsburgh with my sister and plan to catch a ball game, even if the Pirates aren't that good. It will be my first game! Share what your weekend was like or what you plan on doing and have a great one whatever you do!

I will be celebrating George Washington's surrender to Louis Coulon de Villiers at Fort Necessity, 4 Juillet 1754.

Pfffttt.... that's OK. You have your little Froggie Celebration. We'll get you back!

Not sure what I will be doing, yet. Kids are going their various ways with friends, so we won't be doing the barbeque thing. I need to find a good, old-fashioned, historic celebration someplace close to me.

And one other thing (in addition to the Fort Necessity thing). As it happens the 4th is my 42nd Wedding Anniversary! Last year I spent the fourth at Niagara Falls, and I did call Cindy from Falls themselves. What could be more romantic that a cell phone call from Niagara Falls? OK, maybe a call from Old Fort Niagara itself, during the French festivities at night there with Compagnie de la Corne. Yeah, that would top everything!

You should find this pretty interesting then, richfed. Check out Tommy J's "goof" on the Declaration of Independence. The naked eye never would have caught this defining moment in our nation's history!

Awesome commericial!! I'd not seen it before this. Thanks for posting it, Miss IWLFNDU!

As for the Jefferson slip, goes to show just what a huge break this was for many of those guys. It was radical!

Happy 4th everyone.

That commercial was awesome and Jefferson's slip makes you really think.

I am probably going to spend the 4th at home with mom as dad and bro are at grandparents.

There are easier things in life then trying to find a good guy..... Nailing jelly to a tree for example.

Happy Anniversary Fitz!

That was a cute commercial- as good as one super bowl commercial that had Napoleon using a Garmin GPS to find the battle he was going to!

As for Jefferson's slip up- it was only a draft and maybe it was just habit. Pretty interesting find though!

I had a great 4th- we lost the ball game but it was still fun to be there. The fireworks were great. On Sunday we went to one of the nearby regional airports to see a B-17 bomber take off and land- they were offering rides, wish we could have afforded one. Another thing to add to the bucket list! It was awesome to see this plane on the 4th!
