Hello:

I am looking for information and documentation on Mohican Warrior dress during the French and Indian War and the Revolutionary War. Anybody have any ideas?

Thanks

Chris

I guess you are referring to the Stockbridge Mohicans that served with that rascal Robert Rogers?

They also served as scouts during the revolutionary war primarily for the Light Infantry. But yes...I am referring to the Stockbridge Mohicans.

Volumes have been written about Robers and I am sure there are references contained in them. While I don't know any details, I would suspect they were dressed as white people, much the same as the Catawba in this area.

Interesting, but not much help in what you are looking for:

I have one reference to the dress of 1 specific mohican during the Revolutionary War but still need more to go on. I appreciate the Rogers Reference. I had not thought to look in his references. I guess it's off to the books.

Thanks for the help.

Chris
